Seeing Pascal’s Mystic Hexagon from a Different Angle

چکیده
Hexagons inscribed within circles have the mystic property that their three pairs of opposite sides (when extended) intersect on same line. This surprisingly simple result seems to support Platonic notion elegant mathematical relationships exist in some perfect realm awaiting human discovery. To contrary, this article introduces a transformational proof provides for intuitive understanding while supporting idea objects, and between them, arise from coordinations our own mental actions.

Persian Carpet: A New Look From a Different Angle
The Textile Museum & The International Hajji Baba Club Washington D.C. June 19, 2004 Introduction Handmade carpet production in Iran goes back to the history, of which is not the subject of this short paper and presentation. Carpet production and in general carpet culture especially in rural areas is combined and mixed with every-day life of many people. In rural places, almost all the women...
متن کاملSeeing things from a different angle: the pigeon's recognition of single geons rotated in depth.
In 2 experiments involving computer-rendered versions of single shapes or "geons," the extent to which depth rotation affects the visual discrimination performance of pigeons in both go/no-go and forced-choice tasks was documented. The pigeons were able to recognize geons at most rotations in depth; however, the pigeons' recognition performance was better at the training view than at most other...
متن کاملHexagon-Based All-Quadrilateral Mesh Generation with Guaranteed Angle Bounds
In this paper, we present a novel hexagon-based mesh generation method which creates all-quadrilateral (all-quad) meshes with guaranteed angle bounds and feature preservation for arbitrary planar domains. Given any planar curves, an adaptive hexagon-tree structure is constructed by using the curvature of the boundaries and narrow regions. Then a buffer zone and a hexagonal core mesh are created...
متن کاملThe Recursion Theorem from a Different Angle
Suppose that DoesHalt( Program, Input ) is a program that does its best to determine if Program halts on Input. It has the following property: if it returns true then Program halts on Input, if it returns false then Program does not halt on input. There may be some cases when it returns nothing, but whenever it is humanly possible to make a determination it will make it. And when it does make a...
متن کاملLooking at Computations from a Different Angle
We present a novel framework to reason about programs based on encodings of computations as graphs. The main insight here is to rearrange the programs such that given a bound k, each computation can be explored according to any tree decomposition of width k of the corresponding behaviour graph. This produces under-approximations parameterized on k, which result in a complete method when we rest...
